Finally time to write a few lines again. Life kept me busy. Guess everyone noticed Verislime's sitefinder? Uhh those guys are really greedy. I'd be happy getting 6 bucks for every .com and .net, but no those axxes never give up. I am writing about Verislime as they hit the news selling Network Solutions. They state: .com and .net Registry and Naming and Directory Services Infrastructure to Remain with Veri Sign as Cornerstone of Internet Infrastructure Business. Yeah sure - I wouldn't sell the goldmine of having the .com and .net Registry.
Cool would be if ICANN get's its act together and would take away the licence from those guys one day.

iSONEWS is back @ theisonews(dot)com - some will be happy some said - feel free to check it out - sometimes funny reading.

I received news about some busts:
US busts in fullforce again, lastest news is: 2 us and 2 se 1ca busted.. LG leader 'bane' busted, ca siteop, 'man520' busted, conq busted.
Worth mentioning that they are monitoring IRC again: Some insider information was passed on, that four major efnet servers are currently running in debug mode, which enables them to see ALL private traffic, like private chat, passwords sent to channel protection bots, messages, etc. and the information is being filtered and sent to the Blues Brothers, which requested this. Currently, a big EDU server, and .ORG server

Comment: good job on catching Bin Laden you guys in Blue. I feel safer now that these 16 year kids who trade movies are getting locked up.

Wieder ein schwarzer Tag in der TV Landschaft

RTL-2 kann es nicht lassen. Das Grauen kehrt zurück mit einer neuen Big Brother Staffel. Wer hat wohl den idiotischen Namen ausgedacht „The Battle“ – Mega kreativ. Fällt euch wirklich nichts Besseres ein?

Schade, früher war RTL und RTL-2 nicht schlecht, doch kaum ein anderer Sender übertrifft die schwachsinnigen Sendungen die wie am Laufband produziert werden.

Hoffentlich wehren sich die Konsumenten und lassen die vierte Staffel absaufen. Schade wäre es ja nicht – die sollten das Geld einem guten Zweck spenden und uns von diesen Möchtegern Stars verschonen.

Google update finally on it's way
Early morning 4:37 am CET the update finally started. Apparently lots of webmasters are missing links, but don't worry those are still being shuffled around. Sit back and relax. Surely on Sunday the situation will be more clear.

Google update will start within 48 hours from now!

According to Brett_Tabke from Webmasterworld whos was talking today with Daniel Dulitz of Google - the update will finally start within the next 48 hours. Thats good news. Most of us are biting our fingernails already looking forward to the update. Good luck to everyone !!

The Life of David Gale

Yesterday watched The Life of David Gale. Everytime I see that a movie is starring Kevin Spacey I am looking forward to watch it. I was not dissapointed. Loved the film. Definitely a winner that should be up for an academy award. People who enjoy a suspenseful movie will enjoy this well done flick. The story is fascinating, intense, kept me hooked to the end.

I have just lost all trust in the US critics! They have made a mess this time around. People, ignore the slamming and go out and see it. It is refreshing to see a studio have the courage to release it especially in an atmosphere of commercial movies such as Chicago. Don't really understand why Chicago is nominated for so many Oscars. After watching Chicago for about 20 minutes I gave up on the movie and stopped. Even Moulin Rouge is much better than Chicago. Anyways if you get the chance to watch "The Life of David Gale" do it. You will not regret it.

Finally .com & .net domains dropping again!

After a long dry spell (since January 25th) – .com and .net domains have been put on pending delete status and should finally start dropping again as of March 2nd.

But guess what? VeriSign is still holding a lot of domains hostage. Many have not yet even reached the redemption period! What is VeriSign planning with those names? Endless story and ICANN does not have the power and will to handle the situation. Probably VeriSign’s aim is to earn more $ with the coming WLS (wait list system).

Deutschland sucht den Superstar (Hampelmann)

Im Moment läuft gerade wieder diese schwachsinnige Hampelmann Show auf RTL. Wir lachen uns kaputt und müssen fast kotzen. Die englische Lady (scheint total verknallt zu sein in Bubi Alexander) sagt "..oh Alexander du hast alles was es braucht zum Superstar.." unsere Runde findet: Ja das stimmt er hat das Zeug zum Mega Bubi Star. Auch die Schminke echt zum puken. Warum hat solch eine Hampelmann-Show erfolg? Verblödet RTL ganz Deutschland?

Im Vergleich war Starmania geradezu sehr gut. Viel natürlicher und der Gewinner "Michel" könnte echt ein Star werden. Armes Deutschland. Ihr tut mir leid - kein Superstar weit und breit. Am Schluss wird dieser ober Hampelmann Daniel gewinnen. Wir brauchen jetzt ein paar Gläser Vodka um das zu verdauen. Der ober Bubi Bohlen will sogar noch sein Buch verfilmen. Die Premiere kommt dann sicher bei RTL. Na ja schauen wir ein bisschen weiter. Wenigstens hat Juliette eine gute Stimme.

Wir haben schon eine Theorie warum RTL im Vergleich zu ORF mit zwei Kandidaten noch eine Show macht! Die Antwort ist ganz einfach: GELD GELD GELD. Beim ORF Finale von Starmania sind ca. 7 Millionen Anrufe eingegangen. RTL verlangt für einen Anruf 0.49 Cents. Davon bleiben Minimum 0.20 Cents für RTL übrig. Einfache Rechnung: 0.20 x 10 Millionen (Minimum schätze ich, dass ca. 20 Millionen Anrufe beim Finale eingehen werden ) ergibt für RTL Minimum 2 Millionen Euro !! Sicherlich mehr. Alles klar lieber Leser? Ihr werdet alle verarscht! Frau Daniel singt gerade, wenn man dem Singen sagen kann. Der Typ hat ja keine Stimme. Buuhhh

Justice Department Seizes Top Internet Site Dedicated to Copyright Piracy

The Justice Department Wednesday seized what it called the top Web site for software piracy, iSONEWS.com.

The seizure was part of an earlier plea agreement (with "krazy8.") involving the sale of chips to circumvent copyright protections in game systems. The government then assumed control of the domain name and Website. Anyone accessing the site now will no longer find the latest news on new pirated releases by illegal software piracy (or "warez") groups.

I guess some people will be sad and others glad that isonews is finally gone at least DNS wise. One can still reach iSONEWS via 66.201.243.170 - meaning that the DOJ has taken control "only" of the DNS but not of the site. Go figure

Mega Google Kick or Google update for spammers only !

Last night Google kicked 1000's of Domains from it's Searchengine!! Lots of spammers got caught with Google's new "scalable spam solutions". Apparently also lot's of off topic Porn sites using "neutral" domains misleading visitors have been banned.
A Google person said: "we've focused more of our energy on scalable spam solutions recently..." and "we want to tackle spam in the most scalable way we can, and for the most part that means new algorithms. Because algorithms can work 24 hours a day..."

Curious how everything will look after the coming update..

Marode deutsche Plattenindustrie !

Soeben wurde berichtet, dass in Deutschland die Plattenindustrie einen 10% (oder war es 11% ?) Rückgang von verkauften CD’s zu verkraften hat.

Wundert sich da jemand? Ich habe mich immer gefragt warum total verblödete Shows wie „Deutschland sucht den Superstar“ so viel Erfolg haben? Schwachsinniger Kommerz. Wo bitte soll da ein Superstar sein? Auch dieser Bohlen nervt total. Macht eine CD mit den Superstar Jüngern und darin werden alte Lieder recycled und eines sogar von einem anderen „leider schon gestorbenen“ Komponenten geklaut (gemäss Stefan Raab).

Liebe Musik Industrie – behandelt doch eure Konsumenten richtig und SENKT die Preise und hört auf mit diesem doofen Superstar Zeugs – dann wird sich die Lage verbessern. Neue Manager werden benötigt die uns Konsumenten ernst nehmen!

Just read following roumor: SnapNames used to have their "snaper system" on NSI's *INTERNAL* network thus guaranteeing that SnapNames would be 100% successful (and this was my experiance). Fortunately ICANN finally got after SnapNames/NSI for this little "insider trading game" and forced their snapper off NSI's internal network.

Ich erinnere mich gerade an die zeit als es in europa nur wenige pop's gab um endlich ins internet zu kommen. Löl da gab es noch kein AOL und Becker.

Kennst du vielleicht noch das FidoNet? USRobotics DS Modems? Vieles hat sich geädert. Nun kennt jeder +R0TtEl das internet. Gott sei dank! Denn noch nie gab es so viele möglichkeiten..
